— digital media output similar in many respects to HDMI (see the relevant paragraph), but used primarily in computer technology — in particular, it is widely used in Apple computers and monitors. One of the interesting features of this standard is the ability to work in the daisy chain format — connecting several screens to one port in series, with the transmission of its own signal to each of them. Thus, you can connect up to 4 monitors to one output (of course, the screens themselves must support the daisy chain mode). DisplayPort bandwidth allows you to transmit video in 8K resolution to one monitor, up to 4K to two and up to 2K (2560x1600) to four, depending on the specific version of the interface. Simultaneous audio transmission is also possible.
