AMD Zen Raven (2nd Gen)

— AMD processors belonging to the second generation of chips based on the Zen microarchitecture; the full family name is Raven Ridge.

The Zen microarchitecture was released in 2017 as completely independent development (rather than an improvement on older solutions). One of the key improvements introduced with Zen chips is SMT concurrent multithreading technology, essentially AMD's answer to Intel's Hyper-threading. Also of the architectural features, one can note the 14 nm process technology, dedicated floating point unit in each core, and level 3 cache up to 16 MB. Specifically, the Raven Ridge chips are the heirs of Bristol Ridge; they are equipped with integrated graphics cores (unlike another family based on the Zen architecture, Summit Ridge).
