Computers with HDD drive
HDD
— computers equipped with hard disk drives (HDD) only, with no other types of storage media. Some time ago, such drives dominated the market almost completely, but nowadays they are increasingly losing ground to solid-state SSD modules and various combinations of HDD + SSD (see relevant points). This is due to the fact that traditional HDDs are relatively slow, do not withstand shocks and shocks, are not highly reliable (due to the abundance of moving parts) and consume quite lot of energy. On the other hand, this type of media has an important advantage — low cost per gigabyte of volume. And for relatively simple tasks — like working with documents, surfing the web or undemanding games — the HDD's capabilities are quite enough. So although such media are used less and less, they are still far from completely disappearing, and in some cases computer with an HDD may well be the best choice.
