I bought A7s. This was the only one available for rent in my city. I took it for a month for projects and used it in tandem with the fe 50f1.8. For fullHD on the a7s, it's the perfect lens in terms of sharpness. It provided accurate, smooth focusing when working with the a7s (even though that's not the camera's strong suit). A compact 28mm prime can replace three wide-angle lenses at once. But only in the case of purchasing special converters released exclusively for it: SEL075UWC (reducing the focal length to 21 mm) and SEL057FEC (“fisheye” by 16 mm).

The diameter of the lens almost merges with the size of the bayonet mount of Sony mirrorless cameras, and its body length is only 6 cm. Versatility

Correction
Wide-angle optics, by their nature, suffer from geometric distortions. When shooting in JPEG, the in-camera distortion correction system successfully handles with them, but in RAW format, lines located close to the edge of the frame begin to noticeably bend. The camera also effectively corrects chromatic aberrations that occur at the edges of high-contrast image transitions when shooting at open apertures. Well, the vignetting effect that occurs in the same case is removed, if necessary, already in the photo editor.
Solid savings
The lens draws a juicy and contrasting picture, and it is also practically not affected by backlight. In addition to converters, filters can be used in conjunction with the Sony FE 28mm f / 2. By the way, the small diameter of the front lens (49 mm) allows you to significantly save on their purchase. And the lens itself will not hit your wallet hard, even if you take it together with one or two adapters — anyway, such a bundle will cost less than buying three separate wide-angle lenses.
