Top Hi-End class motherboard based on AMD X670E system logic and designed to work with Ryzen 7000 series processors, which AMD presented in 2022. The model is the flagship of the ROG CROSSHAIR overclocking series, positioned as a product of the highest price category, designed to create record-breaking powerful gaming and premium work PCs. It will certainly please enthusiasts who want to squeeze out maximum performance by fine-tuning the frequency of the processor, RAM and video card manually.
The board is equipped with a high-end 18-phase CPU VRM power supply with heatsinks and a heat pipe, capable of powering even a very powerful 24-thread Ryzen 9 with a GeForce RTX 4080 caliber graphics card. Works with the new PCIe 5.0 high-speed system interface specification, which is much different from the previous version. Supports AMD EXPO auto-overclocking technology (similar to Intel XMP).
With advanced built-in overclocking tools, Asus ROG CROSSHAIR X670E HERO greatly simplifies the process of overclocking components. For example, there is a whole set of smart AI Overclocking software on board, which can automatically overclock the processor frequency, while at the same time optimizing the performance of the CPU cooling system. AI Overclocking can find several optimal ratios that the user can use as a starting point for further experiments.
As with all top ROG models of 2022, the board features a dynamic CPU overclocking switch that switches from automatic overclocking (AMD PBO) to manual overclocking with a single click. Plus, the board is equipped with a separate clock generator for the CPU. Additional equipment of the model includes a 2.5-gigabit LAN controller, a wireless module (Wi-Fi 6E + Bluetooth 5.2), connectors for lighting and LSS, an ROG SupremeFX audio path with a built-in amplifier, and USB-C ports with the ability to connect an external monitor.

A card for streamers or production, but not for the average user (hinted at by the two full-fledged USB4 ports, which are essentially Thunderbolt v3). However, if you're an Arab sheikh - go ahead, the board is just suitable for everything. There's really nothing more to say. 1) A backplate for heat dissipation and board reinforcement, with thick heatsinks wherever possible. 2) The power supply is so good that even with liquid nitrogen cooling, the board can handle the CPU overclocking. 3) Eight copper PCB layers to reduce interference and support overclocking (the new beta-AGESA really boosted DDR5 overclocking, but I’ll wait for the software to be fully refined). 4) USB 4.0 ports offer a speed of 40 Gbps (consider it as having two Thunderbolt v3). 5) ATX form factor, not E-ATX like Gigabyte and ASRock boards in the same price category. 6) The built-in sound is VERY good, the chip and audio codec are on par with a sound card. 7) Well-distributed PCIe 5 lanes for work tasks: 2 GPUs, 2 NVMe for a RAID array, and one lane for an additional expansion card (though overpaying isn't necessary). 1) Price... more precisely, PRICE!!! 2) 2.5 Gigabit LAN on a board of this level (even though most internet connections don’t even reach a tenth of the supported speed)  Roberto: use Asus ROG CROSSHAIR X670E HERO few months |
