Compact micro-ATX motherboard with great overclocking capabilities. The model belongs to the upper price segment and is part of the ROG CROSSHAIR line, created for hardcore gamers and overclocking enthusiasts. The board is based on the overclocking X670E chipset and is equipped with an AM5 socket designed to work with Ryzen 7000 processors (Raphael family) based on the advanced Zen 4 microarchitecture.
Unlike motherboards with an AM4 socket and the previous generation Zen architecture, this device exchanges data via the PCI bus -E 5.0 and is designed to work with high-speed DDR5 RAM, which only entered the mass market in 2022. An elite 18-phase power subsystem with a massive cooling system confidently copes with multi-core processors such as Ryzen 9 from the Raphael family.
It is also suitable for overclocking thanks to a variety of different controls and contacts for measuring voltages, including an oscilloscope included in the delivery set. The firmware is also adapted for overclocking and supports the proprietary AI Suite enhancement package, familiar from other Republic of Gamers 2022 boards. In particular, this is a dynamic switch between automatic and manual CPU overclocking, as well as a smart system for optimizing the operation of AI Cooling fans.
In addition to the board, the package includes an ROG GEN-Z.2 adapter with a full cooling system for connecting additional M.2 memory modules and a ROG True Voltician USB oscilloscope for visualizing the incoming voltage. Otherwise, the Asus ROG CROSSHAIR X670E GENE has everything you need to build a powerful gaming PC: 3 high-speed M.2 slots with cooling for high-speed NVMe SSD drives, 2 slots for DDR5 6400 memory (maximum capacity 64 GB), excellent SupremeFX sound system with a Savitech SV3H712 amplifier, a network controller from Intel with a 2.5 Gbps bandwidth and traffic prioritization, several connectors for connecting LED strips, connectors for water cooling and a reinforced slot for a video card. Additionally, the board is equipped with a wireless module that supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 networks, and a pair of USB C ports on the rear panel support image output, so you can connect an external monitor to them.
