How to choose a motherboard?Motherboard is the main part of any computer. Here's how to choose the right one for work, play and entertainment
Model overview based on user reviews
The Asus Crosshair VII Hero motherboard offers a maximum set of features for various configurations, with high build quality and components, making it ideal for assembling an open-type machine. Users have praised it as the best motherboard on the 470 chipset, with no issues reported over extended use. However, some users have experienced compatibility issues with RAM, suggesting checking specifications before purchase. The motherboard's price is considered high, and some users have faced challenges with storage configurations, particularly when using multiple SSDs and hard drives. Despite these concerns, it supports overclocking well, achieving 4.3 GHz with an R7 2700X chip. Overall, while it offers excellent features, potential buyers should consider alternatives due to its price.

The best motherboard on the 470 chipset. I've been using it for over a year. No complaints.
The maximum set of features for any configuration. The build quality and components are at a high level. A fantastic opportunity to assemble an open-type machine.
No issues were noticed.

For that kind of money, you can get the same Aurus, if not cheaper.

Overpriced. It's better to buy its alternatives. Bought it after reading info on AMD's official website. Regretted it three times.
I can't say.
The main problem is with RAM. Not all are compatible, it's better to check the specs before buying. I swapped two sets. Two of them were Corsair. A friend who works in PC repair suggested reading the spec to see which RAM is compatible on the website. Download a text file. I'll be honest. Never have I had so much hassle with motherboards as in SPB. Barely found a match. Settled on G.Skill, with 3400 timings CL14. Changed to 13 in the BIOS. They fit just fine. Power circuits. No decent info anywhere, whether it's with doublers or not. The R7 2700X (a good chip) took 4.3 GHz by multiplier, which isn't bad at all. Its unjustified price... terrible. Used for over a year. Also faced a problem. I have two M.2 SSDs. Decided to add another SATA SSD and a WD Red hard drive. And... it's rubbish. It sees the hard drive if you disconnect the SATA SSD. It sees the SSD if you disconnect the hard drive...
