Top-end overclocker motherboard Asus 2018 model year for the AM4 platform based on the AMD X470 chipset. All AMD Ryzen 3,5,7 (Pro) 1st and 2nd generation processor models (Raven Ridge, Summit Ridge, Pinnacle Ridge), AMD 7th generation A-Series APUs, Athlon X4 AM4 models are supported (Bristol Ridge) and Athlon 200GE. A distinctive feature of the board is rich overclocking functionality and excellent equipment for working on an open bench.
The presence of the Start, Safe, Retry, Reset buttons, POST code indicator, Q-LED diagnostic complex and the ability to manually monitor voltages greatly facilitate work during overclocking sessions. In addition, the operation of liquid cooling systems and branded remote modules for overclocking (OC Panel II) is supported. Thus, this model is one of the best platform choices for enthusiasts and gamers who prefer to operate heavily overclocked gaming systems. The Asus Crosshair VII Hero motherboard allows you to install 4 DDR4-2933/2666/2400 memory modules with a total volume of up to 64 GB, 2 high-performance NVMe SSDs with an M.2 connector and up to 6xSATA3 devices. There is an Intel I211-AT gigabit network controller and a high-quality ROG SupremeFX audio subsystem based on the Realtek ALC1220 chip.

The best motherboard on the 470 chipset. I've been using it for over a year. No complaints. The maximum set of features for any configuration. The build quality and components are at a high level. Overpriced. It's better to buy its alternatives. Bought it after reading info on AMD's official website. Regretted it three times. I can't say. The main problem is with RAM. Not all are compatible, it's better to check the specs before buying. I swapped two sets. Two of them were Corsair. A friend who works in PC repair suggested reading the spec to see which RAM is compatible on the website. Download a text file. I'll be honest. Never have I had so much hassle with motherboards as in SPB. Barely found a match. Settled on G.Skill, with 3400 timings CL14. Changed to 13 in the BIOS. They fit just fine. Power circuits. No decent info anywhere, whether it's with doublers or not. The R7 2700X (a good chip) took 4.3 GHz by multiplier, which isn't bad at all. Its unjustified price... terrible. Used for over a year. Also faced a problem. I have two M.2 SSDs. Decided to add another SATA SSD and a WD Red hard drive. And... it's rubbish. It sees the hard drive if you disconnect the SATA SSD.
