A compact motherboard from the 2023 Asus Prime series, whose products are more designed for office builds, multimedia systems and entry-level workstations. However, by using next-generation Intel processors, DDR5 memory and a very powerful power converter, this board can become the mainstay of a mid-range gaming PC with a Core i5 processor, plenty of overclocked RAM and an Nvidia RTX 4060 graphics card.

Asus PRIME B760M- A WIFI is equipped with an LGA 1700 processor socket, the system logic of the middle class Intel B760 is responsible for its operation. The use of the fourth generation PCIe system bus frees hands when designing a disk subsystem, allowing you to install a reactive SSD drive operating at speeds of 5000-6000 MB/s into the system. The layout of the slots allows you to install a pair of M.2 SSDs and four standard drives with an old-school SATA3 connector in the system.

Using the integrated RAID controller, the user can artificially combine all drives into a single disk array. The four available DDR5 DIMM slots support up to 128GB of RAM with a maximum frequency of 7200MHz and support for XMP 3.0 technology. Additional trump cards in the hands of the board are support for the USB-C 3.2 gen2 interface, a network controller with a bandwidth of 2.5 Gb/s, a TPM connector, extensions for installing LED strips, as well as reinforced slots for a video card and additional cooling of the M.2 zone.

wonderful model, really honored
23 December 2025
I got this motherboard for a build with LGA1700. It's a regular board, not claiming to be anything top-tier. It's suitable for i3 or i5, fine for an everyday PC or mid-level gaming system.

It has Wi-Fi, which is convenient, so there's no need to run a cable or buy a separate card. The DDR5 6000 memory worked without problems, and the system started on the first try. There are enough ports and slots for a standard build: a graphics card, a few PCIe SSDs, SATAIII, a few fans — all without surprises (yes, I know, that word triggers you — here it’s relevant). You can even set up some lighting.

A few nuances. With a massive tower in the first slot, the graphics card will be almost touching; if the tower has a 140mm fan, it won't fit. Everything's fine with a 120mm or AIO. I wish the VRM was more powerful.

For i7 or i9, I wouldn't recommend it: for such processors, it's better to get something higher-class with a more serious component base. But for its niche, the board is decent — no more, no less.
Good quality, WIFI and Bluetooth, Ethernet 2.5Gig, good cooling of the power elements
The sound card is weak, the video card is very close to the CPU socket, and PCIe 5.0 is missing.

Cool motherboard, I like it
19 December 2024
When I decided to upgrade my PC, I already knew that the motherboard would be from ASUS. I may not trust their monitors, mice, keyboards, criticize them for greed and some inadequate pricing policy in their ROG STRIX line, but one thing they do know how to make is motherboards.

I took the board for the 12600KF, maybe not the best choice, maybe I should have taken something with a higher number of power phases, but whatever they say, the build works. It has been running for almost a year now with no problems, even stress tests pass without issues.

I liked the massive VRM heatsinks, which really work and help dissipate heat from the 150W processor. There are two slots for M.2 drives. I would have liked a PCI 5.0 port, but I guess I’m being greedy for that price.

I liked that the board has a built-in Wifi|Bluetooth antenna, which is just a lifesaver for me. The signals do not conflict, even though I use several devices connected wirelessly, nothing drops.

The sound card is nothing special, it produces pleasant sound, but it can't compare to a real DAC.

It supports DDR5 6000 RAM, I see no point in getting DDR4 in 2024/25.
Holds a quite hot processor 12600KF Massive VRM heatsinks Two slots for m.2 pci-e 4.0 drives
I would like more power phases so that the VRM doesn't heat up as much. Also, a 5.0 slot for the graphics card.
