— cables originally designed for connecting subwoofers. Usually, we are talking about active "subwoofers" with built-in amplifiers, so most subwoofer cables are actually somewhat modified "interconnectors" (see the relevant paragraph). In more detail, with the same connectors (2 RCA), such wires are usually made longer than conventional interconnects, and with thicker insulation, and sometimes shielding. This is due to the fact that the subwoofer often has to be placed at a considerable distance from the rest of the system, which increases the likelihood of interference, plus there is a good chance that the cable will be constantly stepped on.
