Fast, accurate, deadly ― this is how Razer positions its relatively new line of Basilisk gaming mice. Thanks to the most advanced optical sensor, a scroll wheel with resistance adjustment and a removable key for sensitivity adjustment, the Razer Basilisk is an extremely interesting candidate for the role of the main mouse for connoisseurs of dynamic spinal shooters like Valorant or Titanfall 2.

As is usually the case with Razer, a successful product launched a whole line of products of the same name. Since the release of the original Razer Basilisk, a lot of water has flowed away, and during this time the company has released about a dozen diverse variations of Basilisk. So, the Basilisk X HyperSpeed model was equipped with a wireless receiver and a highly sensitive Razer 5G sensor, which, according to the developer, is an perfect means of mass distribution of headshots.

In the Basilisk Mercury model, engineers added a removable DPI switch clutch and the ability to adjust the scroll wheel resistance for more accurate weapon switching or zeroing. And in Basilisk Ultimate Lite, a Razer Hypershift feature has appeared, with which you can bind several different profiles with game keys to the mouse, and then switch between several control schemes on the fly. Some of them are connected with an old―school cable, the other works via a radio channel or Bluetooth protocol, and the most advanced versions offer the ability to connect both ways. As for sensors, Razer, as usual, prefers to use its own developments, so the most current models of this line mostly rely on the power of Razer 5G and Razer Focus+ optical sensors. Included with each mouse is a Razer Synapse, with which you can calibrate the responsiveness of the sensor and assign commands for additional keys.
