Detachable cable

— the presence of a removable cable in the design of the mouse.

This feature is found only in devices with the possibility of a wired connection (see "Connection") — mainly in combined models that also allow a wireless format of operation. Actually, for such models, the presence of a removable cable is almost mandatory — when connected via radio or Bluetooth, it is more convenient to remove the wire so that it does not get tangled at hand. As for purely wired manipulators, the meaning of such a design is somewhat different in them. Firstly, it allows you to replace the "native" wire with another; this can be useful, for example, if a longer cable is needed, or if the bundled one has been damaged. Secondly, the detachable wire makes storage and transportation easier; this is especially true for laptop mice (see "Device"), designed to be regularly carried along with a laptop.
