After the resounding success of the Cloud series headsets, HyperX engineers decided to deviate a little from the usual template and do something completely new. Thus, in 2016, a series of Cloud Revolver headphones was born with a reinforced frame, modified ear pads and completely new dynamic drivers capable of creating a wider, more realistic and detailed sound stage. According to the manufacturer, Cloud Revolver is the best HyperX headset for eSports shooters, due to the fact that it localizes surrounding sounds with extreme accuracy, allowing you to better understand which side a potential opponent is moving from.

As with the original HyperX Cloud, the Cloud Revolver model is a massive, closed-back over-ear headphone with large soft ear pads, a mute microphone, a detachable cable, a wired connection and a metal frame. According to the manufacturer, they have improved the temples and the size adjustment mechanism, and also used higher quality leatherette and denser foam material to fill the ear pads, resulting in an increased level of comfort and quality of noise insulation. The manufacturer has also completely redesigned the design: the steel headband is directly connected to the cups, so the Revolver will be more difficult to break if they are accidentally sat on or dented in a backpack.

In addition to the original Cloud Revolver model, by the summer of 2023 the manufacturer has released 2 more modifications with minor cosmetic changes. So, in the 2017 Cloud Revolver S headset, an optional USB A adapter appeared, allowing you to connect it to consoles without the support of a standard audio cable. Well, in 2023, a long-awaited update to the series called Cloud Revolver 7.1 was released. This model is equipped with an external sound card with a mini remote control and a built-in virtual mono-channel sound system.
