Cameras with manual focus (video)
Manual focus video
— ability to manually focus the image during video shooting. Note that the mere presence of manual focus (see the relevant paragraph) does not mean the possibility of its use in video recording; Therefore, this function has been moved to a separate selection item. The main advantage of manual focus over automatic focus is the ability to set focus at the request of the operator, without relying on automation. This, of course, is more difficult than shooting with autofocus, it requires increased attention to the frame and some shooting skills. On the other hand, the user can use various technical and artistic techniques that are not available in automatic mode; and the sharpness settings do not depend on the movement in the frame and do not go astray when new objects appear (which can happen when automation is working). Thus, professional operators often prefer to work with manual focus, and an experienced amateur can also find this mode useful.
It is worth noting that this feature may not be available in cameras with interchangeable lenses (see "According to Direction") — some interchangeable lenses do not have manual focus.
