Microphone audio input

These microphones are often preferred over internal microphones for a variety of reasons. Firstly, they usually have more advanced specifications than the built-in ones, and you can choose the specific microphone model. Secondly, the external microphone is not so susceptible to interference from the camera itself (sounds from buttons and mechanics, electromagnetic interference, etc.). Thirdly, the microphone can be installed in an optimal place from a sound quality point of view, regardless of the position of the camera itself (if the length of the wire is enough). On the other hand, all these features are relevant mainly for professional video shooting, and the additional input complicates and increases the cost of the camera design. As a result, this feature is typical mainly for advanced models, in which considerable attention is paid to video recording capabilities.
