Kit (with lens)
— the presence of a lens in the scope of delivery of the camera. Most often, this is a universal class optics, with a variable focal length within the middle range; however, there are exceptions, and therefore the characteristics of the complete lens should be clarified in each case. In addition, even the same model can be supplied in different kit options. The main advantage of the "whale" configuration is the readiness of the camera to work almost "out of the box" — everything you need is already available, and you won't have to buy a lens separately (as for the body). On the other hand, kit lenses usually have rather modest specifications, and are mainly intended for testing the camera's performance and initial photography training; such optics may be sufficient for domestic purposes, but there is no question of any professional use. Therefore, it makes sense to purchase a kit package for novice users and/or for simple everyday shooting.Show
