Fast autofocus and a powerful sensor ensure this Sony Alpha a7 II mirrorless digital camera exceeds your expectations. You ge... moret a powerful digital camera thatincorporates impressive five-axis image stabilization so that your photos turn out looking crisp and sharp even when the light starts to fall. This is the equivalent of using up to a 4.5-step faster shutter speed, letting you shoot forlonger. The ultra-powerful 24.3-megapixel low-noise Exmor sensor, which combineswith the BIONZ X digital image processor, produces outstanding results with low distortion and low artifacting. This Sony Alpha a7 II mirrorless digital camera also excels when taking movies. The ultra-large sensor produces clear video at 1080p resolutions, and the tilting screen lets you review the shots that you're taking and get down low for unique angles. Thanks to this mirrorlesscamera's wide aperture, you can create movies with smooth background blur for sharp relief of your subject. You can also set a variety of profiles to create the right image setup, and embedded time codes make it easy to edit and review your movie. When you take this Sony Alpha a7 II mirrorless digital camera out, its meticulous craftsmanship ensures that it stands up to the stresses and strains of high-level use. Sony Alpha a7II is an advanced mirrorless Sony full-frame digital camera with a 23.3-megapixel 35mm sensor and a host of features designed to appeal to professional photographers and photo enthusiasts. It is the world's first full-frame camera with optical five-axis image stabilization, and boasts improvements in both design and autofocus speed. The shutter release, grip and control layout has been updated, the lens mount is now all metal, and the camera is sealed against moisture and dust. The a7II also features a fast Hybrid AF system that boasts a 305 improvement in focusing speed, a 5fps burst rate, and continuous autofocus. It is rapidly becoming the camera of choice for photojournalists as well as aspiring videographers. What you should know about this camera 24.3MP sensor: The a7II's full-frame 35mm-sized sensor captures 24.3-megapixel still images and full HD video. ISO range is 100-25,600, with 16-bit image processing and 14-bit RAW output to preserve fine image detail. Fast Hybrid Autofocus: The camera relies on an advanced autofocus system with 117 phase-detection and 25 contrast-detection AF points covering a wide area of the frame. Focus is fast and accurate via an advanced algorithm, and can track fast-moving subjects through the frame. Frame rates are up to 5fps in continuous AF, and when you shoot in JPEG Fine L format burst rate is up to 77 frames. 5-Axis Image Stabilization: The a711 houses an all-new 5-axis SteadyShot INSIDE image stabilization system that compensates for five types of camera shakes, with a roughly 4.5-stop shutter speed gain. The IS system compensates for pitch and yaw adjustments (well-suited for longer focal lengths), horizontal and

Rendering scenes in realistic detail A newly developed back-illuminated image sensor and evolved image processing system fulfill various shooting needs with high-quality imaging capabilities that you would expect only of a full-frame camera. Newly developed sensor, evolved image processor The latest technology achieves stunning processing speed A new version of the 24.2-megapixel Exmor R CMOS sensor, now featuring a back-illuminated structure, is combined with the latest BIONZ X image processing engine and front-end LSI and this combination achieves a data readout speed that is two times faster and data processing capability that is 1.8 times higher. Back-illuminated full-frame sensor Higher sensitivity and readout speed The 35-mm full-frame CMOS image sensor with back-illuminated structure enhances light collection efficiency, expands circuitry scale, and, with the help of a copper wiring layer that contributes to quicker data transfer, outputs data at very high speed, while minimizing noise to reveal fine details in every picture. Reducing noise in high-resolution images Up to 1.5-stop improvement in image quality Standard ISO range is extended to ISO 100-51200 (expandable to ISO 50-2048007 for stills), while Detail Reproduction and Area-specific Noise Reduction technologies maintain image details and cut noise. With highly effective performance in mid-to-high sensitivity ranges, you can shoot at high ISO with no concerns about noise or image deterioration. Subtle gradation from shadow to highlight Dynamic range of up to approx. 15 stops Approx. 15-stop dynamic range at low-sensitivity settings is achieved, thanks to a revamped CMOS sensor and image processor that provide for smooth gradation from shadow to highlight. This gives you greater freedom of creative imaging. Faithful color reproduction More accurate color reproduction straight out of the camera Color reproduction performance is dramatically enhanced, giving subjects that you capture more natural color that is faithful to how the colors look in real life. Skin tones in portraits, blue skies in landscapes and vivid hues in still life images look very realistic as a result. Steadier shots with 5-axis stabilization The latest high-precision stabilization uses stabilization unit and gyro sensors and algorithms to achieve a 5.0-step shutter speed advantage in a system that compensates five types of camera shake with a wide range of lenses and delivers excellent performance. 14-bit RAW output for rich gradations For smoother, more natural gradation, the latest BIONZ X image processor and front-end LSI process image signals in 16-bit form. This processor also allows 14-bit RAW data output, even when in silent or continuous

All three second versions of Sony's full-frame mirrorless series are pulling to the role of flagships: the A7 II, A7R II and A7S II models. The most affordable option among this trio is the first model.
Double stabilization
The Sony A7 II was the debut full-frame camera equipped with a 5-axis matrix image stabilizer(up-down, right-left, along its own axis). Only cameras of the same series can compete with the model in this regard. The stub allows you to win up to 4-5 steps of exposure. Those. getting blur in the image when shooting at slow shutter speeds with hands has become more difficult. Plus, stabilization by means of optics has not gone anywhere (if there is a built-in stabilizer on board). In fact, we are dealing with dual image stabilization — both through the matrix and through the lens.
compactness
Since the Sony Alpha A7 II is a mirrorless camera, it is almost twice as light as its mirror counterparts. Accordingly, its dimensions are smaller. But not to the detriment of ergonomics — the controls on the "carcass" of the camera are thoughtfully and sensibly. Convenience in the process of filming adds an inclined screen, which is easy to sight from the lower and upper angles. It is non-touch, so you will have to set the focus point using the keys. By the way, the model is equipped with 4D autofocus with 117 phase focus sensors located directly on the matrix. The focus system does not smear even in the dark.
Optics park
In Sony Alpha systems, only one thing upsets — an undeveloped fleet of optics. Naturally, this is a matter of time and in the near future the variety of lenses will grow. So far, you have to be content with what you have, or use the optics of third-party systems installed through an adapter. A plus in this state of affairs still exists: even the oldest manual lens will be stabilized.
Balance
The camera will become a faithful companion for a landscape painter or a lover of shooting architecture. For reporting purposes, it is less suitable — this is not facilitated by the overall responsiveness and short duration of operation on a single battery charge. Also, the model is one of the most balanced options on the market in terms of price-quality ratio.
