The 24-inch Samsung F24T350FHI monitor is part of Samsung's popular 300 series of monitors, in which decent image quality is complemented by a low price and the availability of all the latest technical innovations. In particular, it boasts an increased refresh rate up to 75 Hz, support for AMD FreeSync and built-in eye protection utilities. At the time of its release in 2020, it was one of the most affordable IPS monitors on the market, with which obsolete entry-level VA and TN displays tried unsuccessfully to compete. After 2 years, it has not lost its relevance and continues to enter the tops of sales.
High quality display
The Samsung F24T350FHI is based on a 24-inch IPS matrix with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. The display features modest, but sufficient for most usage scenarios, color gamut (72% NTSC), standard brightness settings (250 cd/m2) and statistical contrast ratio (1000:1). By the standards of entry-level monitors, the Samsung F24T350FHI demonstrates a naturalistic image with a pleasing color gamut. It has a good response speed (5 ms from gray to gray) and is quite suitable for games. Flicker-Free technology and a built-in blue filter protect your eyesight. Compared to TN and VA matrices, there are much wider viewing angles. And you can only find fault with uneven backlighting, but this is a problem not only for the test sample, but in general for almost all monitors costing up to $150.
Modern design
But a monitor is more than just an image. A modern design with slim side bezels and a stylish glossy tripod played an important role in the success. The Samsung F24T350FHI looks more like a fancy monitor bought with a pair of MacBook Pros than a typical gray mouse office model. Well, it is not only beautiful, but also practical. In particular, thanks to thin bezels, it is easier to combine multiple monitors into one “seamless” display. For complete happiness, this model lacks only an ergonomic stand with the ability to adjust the height of the screen. The tripod provided only supports tilt adjustment.
