It has a 10-megapixel 1/1.7" sensor whose ISO values (in a special "night" mode with a decrease in resolution) can reach ISO 12,800. Photo shooting capabilities include RAW recording and more than 10 scene programs; video recording can be carried out at resolutions up to 720p The display is slightly smaller than the standard 2.8" display, which is compensated by the swivel design. good device, but there is still a small minus

easy to use
i like the price and quality
while recording video: the quality decreases when zooming in, and there's no pause function, so you need to stop recording, zoom in, and start recording again to avoid degrading the quality!

A camera - for those who like to constantly adjust something in it.

I bought it, tempted by the reviews - I really regret it!!! For a "beginner" - it's a tricky camera, you constantly need to adjust it, otherwise, the photos are terrible! In the dark, it gets too much light - the flash doesn't work, and when you turn it on manually - the face ends up as a white blot. Constantly tweaking settings is for pros. And when you want to snap a quick picture, it's a disaster! Only in sunny weather do decent photos come out. Indoors (apartment, café, clubs...) in room lighting, you need to take at least 10 shots to choose even one - not always possible. The screen stopped turning on when flipped. Dots like scratches appeared on the lens. In the cold - it completely lags!!! DON'T BUY THIS JUNK!!!
I don't see.
Solid disadvantages for the average person.
FRAU: use Canon PowerShot G12 more than year i recommend it don't buy

The Canon PowerShot G12 has a special low-light shooting mode without flash — the frame resolution is reduced to 2.5 megapixels, while the ISO value can reach up to 12800.

PowerShot G12 has a high dynamic range mode — the camera takes three pictures with different exposures and glues them together, getting a frame with the same level of illumination throughout the frame.

Video:

Canon PowerShot G12 shoots video in HD quality — 1280x720, 24 fps. A miniature shooting effect is available with intelligent blurring of the space around the centre of the frame.

Interface and control:

The PowerShot G12 has a quick menu that allows you to change basic settings that are not externally controlled. In the pointing mode, the horizon is displayed on the LCD screen — the gyroscope tracks the position of the camera in space. All actions with are displayed with corresponding icons on the screen.
