Canon PowerShot G7X Mark II

A high-end digital compact that will also be appreciated by those who have to shoot in low light conditions: a large 1" sensor with sensitivity up to ISO 25 600 is responsible for shooting, and the aperture of the lens even at maximum magnification (4.2x) does not fall below f / 2.8 (maximum — f / 1.8). However, the features of this model are not limited to this. So, from the capabilities of the lens, it is worth noting optical stabilizer and manual focus both in still and video shooting.
The updated Digic 7 processor allows the PowerShot G7X Mark II at maximum resolution, shoot a series of photos at a speed of 8 fps — and the maximum image resolution is 20 megapixels. HDR mode is supported, shooting in RAW is possible. Video recording can be carried out in format up to Full HD inclusive. Transfer footage and control the device can be via Wi-Fi. The body of the camera is made of steel, another external feature is 3" touch swivel screen; a viewfinder is available as an option.

I fell for the reviews and advertising when I bought this highly praised device. It turned out immediately that there were dead pixels on the sensor. Essentially, in any video I had, there were a few bright green dots. At first, I thought it might be the camera display, so I transferred the video to a computer, and it was the same. After looking through other reviews on different sites, I found that defects of this kind are quite common. To say that I was not satisfied would be an understatement. By the way, the Canon G9X MII has the exact same sensor. Additionally, there's also a very noisy autofocus adjustment when shooting video. Some might argue that this is a camera first and not a camcorder, and they'd be right; however, when comparing photos even with the very first RX100, there's no difference, or rather there is, but it's not in Canon's favor. For those seeking the truth, I inform you that I really used both cameras, and I kept one of them. I returned this one and don't want any more Canons. I should note that this is my second Canon; before this, I had a G9 where the lens covers constantly got stuck. Based on my experience, the quality of Canon is "like in a fairy tale, the further you go, the scarier it gets." P.S. I tried to publish the review on Rozetka, but negative ones are simply deleted there. A good example of how not to make cameras. A risk that is not worth the money. use Canon PowerShot G7X Mark II week |
