The second version of the 35mm "Elechka" — a fixed lens of the Luxury series with a red ring on the rim — is even better, even more beautiful. Of the significant innovations implemented on board the lens, number one is the introduction of a special BR element into the optical scheme to even more effectively combat parasitic aberrations. The Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L II USM also received dust and water protection, in parallel with which a special coating was applied to the front lens of the lens, which repels water and dirt.

As usual for a representative of the highest layers of Canon optics, the lens has a 9-blade aperture, due to which the correct rounded shape of objects in the blur zone is achieved. The f-stop when fully open is f/1.4. Fix acts as an indispensable assistant when the background blur pattern becomes an important part of the photographer's intention. In fact, the only stone in the garden of the lens is the weight and size indicators that have not changed for the better (760 g with dimensions of 80x106 mm).
