Since an unwanted background that breaks and doubles in blur rarely appears in the frame, for me this is 99.9999% perfect glass with a frame of 85mm. The design is a good middle ground between L and budget quality. The price for a good portrait is almost a gift. From the "so-called" downsides (which are actually features) there are only minimal focal length and not the best blurring on various bushes-trees and so on. Among the real downsides is the customary stinginess of Canon in the size of a piece of plastic weighing like a lens hood. Do they have such issues with plastic or is it a crazy saving on it? Astonishing equine stinginess that for years has forced people to think poorly of Canon. What are their wooden marketers looking at? Soft bokeh is obtained, since the lens is designed for maximum blurred background and at the same time, the lens, at all its values, presents an acceptable aperture, I get clean and sharp shots. Insignificant, if you know the secrets of science (lighting) and quality shooting. The rear lens gets dusty (but it can be fixed).
