One of the flagship models of motherboards from the premium line of Asus ROG STRIX 2022 release. It is positioned as a high-end product designed to create high-performance gaming systems and workstations for editing, rendering, 3D modeling, etc. Based on the advanced Intel Z790 system logic, equipped with an Intel LGA 1700 processor socket. It will be an excellent choice for overclocking the powerful 6/8/12/16-core chip of the 12th (Alder Lake) or 13th generation (Raptor Lake) Intel APUs core.
It will be an excellent choice for overclocking enthusiasts who will get their hands on a well-thought-out solution with a powerful element base and useful overclocking tools. In particular, it is equipped with an advanced 17-phase power subsystem that can easily power an extremely powerful water-cooled processor and an NVIDIA RTX 3090-caliber video card. For data exchange, a high-grade PCIe 5.0 bus is used, on the basis of which you can build an array of ultra-fast M.2 SSD and hybrid HDD to store the entire collection of games.
The overall system acceleration is also affected by the use of high-speed DDR5 memory with a maximum frequency of 7800 MHz, which is almost twice the operating frequencies of top-end DDR4 models. The Asus ROG STRIX Z790-F GAMING WIFI board is equipped with several smart utilities to simplify the overclocking process. For example, the AI Overcklocking software quickly finds several optimal ratios between CPU frequency and cooler speed, giving the user starting points to start overclocking the CPU.
Intel XMP technology in a similar mode sorts through the optimal settings for voltage, timings and RAM frequencies. The dynamic switch OS Switch allows you to quickly switch from automatic overclocking of the CPU to manual. And additional buttons and indicators will help when working in an open stand. Additional equipment of the model includes a 2.5-gigabit LAN controller, a wireless module (Wi-Fi 6E + Bluetooth 5.3), connectors for lighting and LSS, and an ROG SupremeFX audio path with a built-in Savitech amplifier.
