6-pin are based on GA107 chips (instead of GA106 on 8-pin).
In terms of basic specifications, such as the number of CUDA cores, bus width or video memory, they do not differ from the (original) ones, but replacing the chip and some additional optimizations allowed us to reduce power consumption from 130 W to 115 W.
Compact entry-level video accelerator built on the NVIDIA Ampere microarchitecture. The model is part of the Asus Dual line, the backbone of which is compact Radeon and NVIDIA video accelerators with a smaller radiator, a shortened circuit board and two active fans, which makes it an excellent choice for compact builds. The cooling system includes dual Axial-tech fans and 0dB technology for quiet operation at low loads.
Integrated protection includes an aluminum backplate and stainless steel bracket for improved reliability and durability. Asus GeForce RTX 3050 Dual V2 OC 8GB is equipped with a GA106 graphics chip with 2560 CUDA cores and 8 GB of GDDR6 video memory (128-bit interface). Boost frequency reaches 1852 MHz in OC mode. It supports most of the latest NVIDIA technologies, including ray tracing and the DLSS 2 (Deep Learning Super Sampling) supersampling system, which can significantly increase GPU gaming performance due to almost invisible manipulation of the game resolution for the user.
The card supports the PCIe 4.0 x8 interface and does not require additional power, which simplifies its installation and operation. In addition to the GPU, the kit includes GPU Tweak software for monitoring and optimizing overclocking parameters. In general, it can be an excellent option for budget-conscious gamers who plan to purchase an inexpensive video card based on a modern microarchitecture, but are not willing to pay extra for mid- and top-level video accelerators.
