Focus on Video Capabilities
The camera is primarily aimed at professional film production. At the same time, it is housed in a compact and lightweight body — dimensions are 142x101x111 mm, and the weight with the installed battery is about 770 g. The controls are conveniently organized: buttons have dual labeling for photo and video modes. The camera is also equipped with additional ports, including a multi-interface hot shoe, which expands possibilities for video shooting.
Active Sensor Cooling
The Canon EOS R5 C uses a 45-megapixel full-frame sensor, but unlike the R5 model, it lacks an in-body stabilization system. Instead, the camera has active cooling, which removes limitations on recording duration in any mode. Shooting is possible at resolutions up to 8K at 60 fps, and in 4K format, recording is available at up to 120 fps.
Serious Video Production
The camera supports in-camera recording with quality up to 4:2:2 10-bit in H.264 and H.265 codecs. It also offers a 12-bit Cinema Raw Light format, Canon XF-AVC codec, Canon Log 3 gamma curve, and a timecode connector, which allows the device to be synchronized with professional multi-camera systems. High-precision autofocus is based on Dual Pixel CMOS AF II technology with intelligent object recognition. The Canon EOS R5 C is a professional solution for serious video production tasks.
