When the first serious gaming laptops loomed on the horizon, the question arose in the air how to manage this good. Or rather, how to play it, so that even on a stock keyboard with a mouse to remain the same killing machine? One of the answers to this request was a series of compact wireless mice for Razer Orochi gamers. To this day, such a format is a curiosity, and owners of gaming laptops have to choose between the dimensions, the type of connection and the quality of the sensor with switches.

For the entire existence of this series, only a couple of mice have appeared in it. For Razer, this is an atypical approach, they usually produce almost a dozen variations of the same model. The first Orochi was released about a decade ago, during the heyday of the brand. It was distinguished by an aggressive design, high-resolution sensor and excellent battery life. A lot of water has flowed since then, so in 2021 Razer decided to update this series by releasing a second version of Orochi with a combined connection (USB - radio - Bluetooth).

Compared to the original, its design has become noticeably more restrained. The company decided to abandon aggressive forms, air intakes and decorative inserts. The form was also redesigned. The tilt of the left and right buttons has changed for better finger grip, and the bend has become more voluminous, so that the palm completely captures the manipulator body. The side buttons are slightly slid sideways and it is easier to find them blindly. The Razer 5G proprietary sensor with a resolution of 18,000 DPI is now responsible for tracking movement, which the company also uses in Naga, Mamba and Basilisk series mice.
