Looking at the boom in compact builds, the Swedish wizards from Fractal Design have teamed up with specialists from Intel and introduced a new line of Era ITX cases. These are compact chassis that overcome the configuration limitations traditionally associated with small-sized systems. According to the manufacturer, this is a unique product of design and engineering.

At the start of the Era series, several modifications of the same case were presented, and they all look chic. The chassis itself is made of steel, and aluminium, glass and even wood are used as design elements. First of all, this concerns the front metal panel with a fine mesh, which the user can optionally replace with a wooden panel or a transparent tempered glass window.

Inside the 4-kg case, you can place a mini-ITX board, a two-slot graphics card up to 295 mm long and a CPU cooler up to 120 mm high. At the bottom of the chassis there are seats for a pair of 140mm fans, two more 120mm propellers, along with a 240mm coolant radiator, can be placed at the top.

There are five mounting points for fans. One regular 80 mm cooler is placed behind, two more can be placed on top, and two more can be hidden at the bottom. All vents are covered with dust filters. However it is unlikely that it will be possible to place all this at once - you will either have to remove the pockets for the drives, or sacrifice one of the coolers, or use a more compact power supply, since the place is not rubber. Among other features of the novelty, it is worth highlighting the presence of three dust filters.
