Fractal Design North XL white (FD-C-NOR1X-04)

An enlarged version of the popular Midi Tower case from Fractal Design with an unusual wooden grill panel that covers the front part. The manufacturer reports that compared to the original model, the capacity of the North XL has increased by exactly a third, the tray for motherboards has increased to the E-ATX format, and the case itself supports the installation of more massive components and cooling systems, making it possible to assemble a fairly powerful gaming PC on its base or a workstation with an Intel Core i9 and Radeon XT 6900 processor and graphics card.

Inside the North XL there are two bays for 2.5-inch SSDs behind the motherboard and two additional bays for 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch drives under the power supply cover. The maximum length of the video card is 413 mm (note: without the front fan), and the height of the processor cooler is 185 mm. A special feature of the case is the wooden grill front panel (note: a choice of oak or walnut), giving it the appearance of premium household appliances.

This panel is not only decorative, but also promotes better release of hot air from the case. At the same time, the back panel of the case is dotted with large perforations, and the top cover is covered with mesh material, through which it is easier for hot air to escape outside the case. North XL is equipped with three large-sized 140mm Aspect fans with support for PWM speed control, thanks to which the user can more accurately and efficiently adjust the fan acceleration curve during high temperatures. As an alternative to air coolers, you can use a liquid cooling system, including the most massive samples with a standard size of 420 mm.
