The original 2022 model has won more than one award for best design. Products from the Swedish brand Fractal Design come to mind when the question arises of purchasing high-quality components with an exquisite design. But this time, Swedish designers seem to have outdone themselves by launching a new line of North mid-tower cases. The highlight of the series is the front panel made of wood, unusual for a computer chassis, complementing the rigor and minimalism of the case. The North made it onto many lists of the best-looking components of 2022, and many reviewers compared it not to other PC cases, but rather to interior elements.

By the end of 2023, the company introduced 2 almost identical variations of North with one single difference - in one of the options the side window is made of transparent tempered glass, in the second of finely perforated steel, which looks like a well-ventilated mesh fabric. The front panel is made from a choice of oak or walnut, and the body can be completely black or white. Given Fractal Design's policy of "careful updates", we suspect that in the future the Swedes will show new modifications of the North chassis with optional lighting, improved sound insulation, or a Cube Case version.

As for the basic versions of North, there are parallels with the Midi Tower cases of Pop and Meshify. In both cases, we are talking about well-designed and well-assembled near-top-level chassis with support for ATX motherboards, massive tower coolers (up to 170 mm in height), many expansion slots, clearance for cable routing, a subsection for the power supply and expansion slots, as well as a large number of seats for cabinet turntables or water pumps. North dimensions are 447 x 215 x 469 mm and weighs about 7.7 kg. 2 Aspect 140 turntables with PWM control support are already installed inside the case.
