The Core series from the Swedish wizards Fractal Design comes with inexpensive, well-assembled chassis with a classic modular design of the front panel, without backlighting, fashionable decorative elements, vertical trays and clearance for hidden wiring. As the company itself notes, this is an immortal classic at an excellent price, which will be an excellent option for building an inexpensive office PC or a home computer for study and entertainment.

The average Core is an all-black Midi Tower that supports classic ATX motherboards with a vertical tray, as well as a lower deck to accommodate the power supply and expansion slots. As a rule, such a case can accommodate both a long video card of the GeForce 4090 level and a large tower cooler, but problems may arise when installing drives. In terms of design, everything is done as strictly as possible, without the flair characteristic of the Node, North and Torrent cases from the same manufacturer. In order to save money, the walls are made of far from the densest steel, so the average Core weighs around 5 kg.

Over the 10-plus years of existence of this line, about half a dozen very similar models have been released, most of which have slightly different front panel designs and internal locations of cooler mounts. The only thing that stands out from the general series is the miniature Mini Tower models Core 1000 and Core 1100 with a power supply located on top and a front mesh panel. Thanks to this unification, the potential buyer will not have to worry too much when choosing the right option.
