In 2021, Swedish manufacturer Fractal Design, which has made a name for itself with premium silent cases, has unveiled a slew of new cases. Among all the new products, the cases of the Torrent series caused the greatest interest. They are designed with an eye on maximum airflow inside the structure, and one of the chips is an unusual front panel with a massive fractal grille.

First of all, this grille looks great. If you're tired of the same minimalistic cases with smooth bezels, Torrent with its grille can be a breath of fresh air. Secondly, a pair of large-sized 180mm fans are hidden behind the grille, which effectively eject the remaining hot air from the case. At the same time, the maximum configuration of the Torrent cooling system can include seven pre-installed turntables - two on the front panel, two on the back and three more on the bottom.

Immediately after the announcement of the original Torrent case, representatives of Fractal Design announced that it would be a new series. Subsequently, diverse modifications with RGB backlighting, with a tinted viewing glass or without it at all, arrived on the store shelves. A little later, at the request of longtime Fractal Design fans, a snow-white version of the Torrent White TG Clear Tint case was released.

Despite small visual differences, their equipment and internal layout are practically the same. Strengths include regular dust filters, quiet stock turntables, anti-vibration pads, a system for hidden wire pulling and additional expansion slots. And on the front panel, usually, several USB ports are placed, including the current USB-C.
