The No Frost system is described in more detail in the relevant help items. Here we note that for all its advantages, this function has some disadvantages. Firstly, for storage in chambers with similar systems, it is desirable to pack products hermetically — otherwise they will quickly lose moisture. Secondly, No Frost significantly affects the cost of the unit. With all this, almost the same goals can be achieved in a simpler way — due to automatic defrosting, which is available in many modern refrigerators. This function is much cheaper and does not have the side effect of drying out the products; at the same time, although it does not prevent the formation of frost, however, with the right settings, it removes it in a timely manner, saving the owner from the hassle of manual defrosting.

In light of all this, refrigerators without No Frost are often the best choice; for convenience of choice, such models are placed in a separate category.
