And the retractable design is convenient because it allows you to get by with a minimum of movements: to access the contents, just pull out the drawer (whereas in more traditional freezers, you also have to open the door before that). On the other hand, such freezers are more demanding on the quality of thermal insulation, which affects the cost of the entire refrigerator. In addition, a retractable chamber is most often one common container, without division into levels — this creates certain inconveniences when storing content. It also applies to most refrigerators, which have several drawers at the bottom — usually, only one of them is still a freezer.
