Quick access (minibar)

— a small door that provides quick access to individual shelves in the refrigerator compartment without opening the entire device door. It can also often be called a minibar – most often, cold drinks are taken out through such a door. The small size of the door for easy access helps to save energy – less extraneous heat gets into the device. In this case, the additional door is usually made transparent, so that you do not need to open the refrigerator at all to check the contents. On the other hand, for a number of reasons, it makes sense to use a minibar only in units of larger sizes – Side-by-Side and French Door formats (see “Type”); however, this design feature significantly affects the cost.
