External touch controls

— controlled by a touch panel located on the outside of the refrigerator, usually on the door. These panels are in many ways similar to push-buttons, but for several reasons (including higher cost) they are mainly used in advanced models with extensive functionality. Such management has some advantages. So, the touch sensors do not need to be pressed — a light touch is enough. They are a continuous flat surface, do not accumulate dirt and are easy to clean. In addition, touch controls can be given a very discreet, minimalistic appearance, and in general, they fit much better into the design of refrigerators than buttons. Therefore, external touch controls are much more common than internal controls.
