A fixed lens of universal purpose with the possibility of macro photography at a scale of 1:2. Tamron 24mm f/2.8 Di III OSD M1:2 focuses from a distance of 12 cm from the plane of the camera's matrix. A fast focus motor is responsible for focus in automatic mode. The lens was released in the version for the Sony E-mount bayonet mount and is sharpened for the full-frame cavalry of Sony mirrorless cameras.

It is characterized by high sharpness across the entire field of the frame with an open f / 2.8 aperture, almost zero chromatic aberrations and mild distortion. Reflected light and glare are kept to a minimum thanks to BBAR's signature anti-reflective coating. The optical design of the fix is made up of 10 elements in 9 groups, it includes LD lenses and special GM elements. The aperture of the lens is a traditional 7-blade. The front lens block of the model is compatible with 67 mm filters. In general, the body dimensions of the lens are 73 mm in diameter and 64 mm in length. The multi-purpose fix weighs only a little more than 200 g.
