I tested two lenses in parallel: a TAMRON 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 Di II lens and a NIKKOR 10-24 f/3.5-4.5G ED lens on a NIKON D5100 body. Opinion: the results for all indicators (shooting outdoors in good daylight, in weak daylight, at night; shooting indoors; shooting with a portable flash NIKON Speedlight SB-700, etc.) showed that the “native” wide is undoubtedly better than its counterpart. So, gentlemen photographers, my opinion is that you cannot save on yourself! (I kept my “native” width). But that's my personal opinion. Ah, it's up to you.
