A practical “universal” for Sony’s guard of cropped mirrorless cameras from the “six thousandth” league. The main advantage of the model is a wide coverage of equivalent focal lengths of 25.5-105 mm, and even with a constantly high maximum aperture throughout the zoom range f / 2.8. Optically Tamron 17-70 F2.8 Di III-A VC RXD is built according to the formula of 16 elements in 12 groups. Among them, one hybrid and two cast aspherical elements were tucked into to ensure high image resolution. Also on board the model is an optical stabilizer, a silent stepping drive for the Rapid eXtra-silent Stepping Drive (RXD) autofocus system, and a 9-blade aperture for effective background blur. The lens focuses from a distance of 19 cm at the wide-angle zoom position to 39 cm at the maximum zoom. Together with the "station wagon" you can use suitable filters with a diameter of 67 mm. The lens makes the camera heavier by about 525 g and increases the dimensions of the camera kit by 119 mm in length.

This lens surprised me with its image quality. Beautiful picture, complete absence of vignetting or distortion at all focal lengths, amazing bokeh, etc. The image is very bright, vivid, and voluminous. The contrast and sharpness are remarkable. Surprisingly, it has an excellent stabilizer that adapts to the situation (no kidding). I absolutely love how it shoots during the day, especially indoors. The background blurs to a creamy texture, and the image is very sharp even at the widest aperture. The autofocus is very responsive, smooth, and at the same time fast. No delays or jitters. Equally good for portraits and landscapes. It doesn't fear backlighting and doesn't have chromatic aberrations. This is my first lens from Tamron; I took the plunge after watching reviews. I'm deliberately not mentioning what's on the box, like the thorium coating on the front element and the processor with built-in intelligence for object processing in the frame and synchronization with the camera. It's simply the best lens in my collection. I carry it everywhere. Even when shooting against a bright background, the bokeh is excellent, with nicely shaped circles. This was previously only possible with a prime lens. The lens is made of plastic, perfectly assembled, and very ergonomic. I'm glad I took the risk. Beautiful image. Excellent focus. Excellent stabilizer. Even not very successful shots are perfectly enhanced in Lightroom, thanks to good sharpness and contrast. I didn't notice any distortions, even in challenging shooting conditions. It has moisture protection, although I haven't used this feature yet.) Only price.
