Alpine freshness
The Noctua NH-D12L is the smallest dual-tower CPU cooler at just 14.5cm. The typical height of the cooler is 15.5 - 16.5 cm. Moreover, the width of the two towers is different: the right one is one and a half times thinner, so as not to overlap the RAM modules. The left one is thicker to dissipate more heat.
Anti-corrosion coating
The towers are connected by five copper heat pipes coated with nickel for corrosion protection. The sole in contact with the processor, traditionally for the products of this Austrian brand, is one-piece. For modern processors, the crystal of which has an elongated shape or several chiplets, this is a more reasonable solution than direct contact of heat pipes.
stabilizes itself
A 12-cm fan is installed between the towers on Noctua SSO2 proprietary self-stabilizing bearing. The rotation speed varies from 450 to 2000 rpm. The upper limit can be lowered using the supplied LNA resistor. There are mounts for all current processor sockets, including the latest Intel LGA 1700 and AMD AM5.
