High performance tower air cooler for cooling a wide range of Intel/AMD Mainstream, Performance and High-End Desktop processors (Intel only). It is a somewhat simplified and much more affordable version of the popular Noctua NH-U14S cooler, which differs from it by a reduced number of heat pipes (5 versus 6), as well as a more compact single-section heatsink. The Noctua NH-U12S CPU Cooler can dissipate up to 140W of heat to cool a wide range of Intel/AMD Mainstream, Performance and High-End Desktop processors.
The manufacturer guarantees compatibility with motherboards equipped with an LGA115X/2011/2011-v3/2066 connector. It is also installed on AMD AM4/AM3(+)/AM2(+)/FM2/FM1 platforms (the AM4 mount has been equipped since January 2019). The superbly balanced 120mm Noctua NF-F12 PWM fan with an optimized seven-blade impeller deserves a high positive assessment. Thanks to PWM control, its rotational speed can be changed from 300 to 1500 rpm, and the proprietary SSO2 bearing with magnetic stabilization ensures durability and impressively low noise level (up to 22.4 dB). Due to its moderate size (height 158 mm) and light weight of 755 g, the cooler is compatible with most full-size MiniTower/MiddleTower cases.
