The fan is an efficient small form factor solution specifically designed for use in confined spaces. With a reduced case thickness of 15 mm, this 60 mm model is perfect for replacing standard, often noisy coolers in network equipment, data storage servers, HTPC systems, or compact industrial devices where installing standard components is not possible. The device's engineering base includes a signature AAO frame with anti-vibration pads and a rotor with Flow Acceleration Channels, which minimize turbulence and increase airflow efficiency.

The "heart" of the Noctua NF-A6x15 FLX fan is a second-generation hydrodynamic bearing with magnetic stabilization (SSO2), ensuring exceptional smoothness and a mean time to failure of over 150,000 hours, backed by a 6-year warranty from the manufacturer. The FLX index in the name indicates tuning flexibility: the model is equipped with a 3-pin connector and, although it does not support PWM control, it allows adjusting the rotation speed using included Low-Noise Adaptors.

Three fixed modes are available to the user: 3500, 3050, and 2250 RPM, allowing a balance to be found between performance (up to 13.76 CFM at high static pressure of 2.43 mm H2O) and acoustic comfort, with the maximum noise level not exceeding 20 dB.
