One of the most performant and functional overclocker motherboards of the 2018 model year with a processor socket LGA 1151 v2. Based on the top-end Intel Z370 system logic set with a convenient UEFI BIOS (AMI) graphical shell. Compatible with any 8th Gen Intel Core i7, i5, i3, Pentium or Celeron processor based on Coffee Lake microarchitecture. The manufacturer is positioned as a premium class product that can satisfy the needs of the most demanding users.
Designed for building high-performance gaming configurations, thanks to advanced CPU and memory overclocking tools, it is one of the best overclocking platforms for enthusiasts seeking maximum performance. There is a set of buttons, switches, LED indicators and a POST code panel that make it much easier to work with the Asus Maximus X Hero motherboard on an open bench. Means are provided for the implementation of overclocking sessions using cryogenic cooling (liquid nitrogen).
The board is capable of supporting up to 64 GB of DDR4-2666/2400/2133 RAM (up to 4133+ in overclocking). The presence of three PCIe x16 slots allows building multiGPU systems based on 2-Way Nvidia SLI or 3-Way AMD CrossFireX technologies. Supports two super-fast M.2 NVMe SSDs and 6 SATA3 ports. There is an integrated Gigabit Ethernet Intel I219V controller and 13 USB ports (including 1xUSB 3.1 Type-C and 2xUSB 3.1 Type-A).
