The Chieftec Core family is based on the state-of-the-art CWT hardware platform, using high-quality circuitry with resonant DC-DC converters, and also supports all necessary protective measures, including OVP, SCP and OPP. To reduce the final price, the company's engineers saved a little on condensers, cooling system and cables.

A typical representative of the Chieftec Core family has a classic cable layout (no detachable cables), standard overall dimensions and weighs within the normal range. That is a little less than 2 kilograms. It features a high level of output voltage stabilization on all lines, low ripple and impressive energy efficiency with an efficiency of around 85%. A wide input voltage range from 100 to 240 volts allows the use of such a power supply in country houses and cottages, where the voltage often sags to 170-180 volts.

A simple fan with a classic plain bearing and a design diagonal of 120 mm is responsible for heat dissipation. At low and medium loads up to 400 W, the turntable rotates at minimum speed and barely makes noise, under heavy load the noise level still does not exceed reasonable limits, so the Chieftec Core models deserve, if not the status of silent, then at least the title of "very quiet".
