Computer Cooling ARCTIC series Alpine (low cooler)
prices on 4 modelsARCTIC Alpine
In the Alpine series, the Swiss brand ARCTIC produces exclusively inexpensive low-profile coolers for cooling Mainstream/Performance class processors from Intel and AMD. Unlike highly efficient tower coolers with high TDP from 150 to 250 W, which are usually purchased for overclocking and cooling powerful Core i7/Ryzen 7 processors, these models are created as an alternative to stock fans from AMD and Intel.
The reasons for purchasing such a cooler can be very different. Firstly, it can be an OEM or BOX version of the processor without a box and a cooler. Secondly, the box cooler may not be of the highest quality or the user may not be satisfied with its efficiency. Third, the stock cooling system may fail and require replacement. The solution to all these problems can be fans from the ARCTIC Alpine series.
A typical representative of the Alpine series is a low-profile CO with a small heatsink and an active fan without any heat pipes or copper soles. The fan speed can usually vary from almost silent (250 rpm) to quite loud (2700 rpm). The design height, depending on the model, does not exceed 77 mm, which negates potential problems when installing a massive video card and RAM modules with high heatsinks.
For convenience, all models are divided into groups “cooling for Intel processors” and “cooling AMD chips”. Alpine SBs from 2019 and earlier are designed for the current sockets of that time (AM2/AM3/FM1/FM2, AM4 or 1150, 1155/1156, 1151/1151 v2, 1200). Well, 2022 coolers are aimed at more modern LGA 1700 and AM5 platforms.
