Most often, such adjustment is carried out using PWM technology, which allows you to monitor the processor load and instantly respond to changes in heat dissipation. However it is worth remembering that in order to use PWM, the motherboard used in the system must also support it. There is another way to auto-adjust — using a temperature sensor, but it is considered less advanced and is extremely rare.

Also note that some models with this feature allow you to manually limit the maximum speed in order to avoid excessive noise. This function should be used with caution, so as not to overheat the processor in the "struggle for silence".
