Cameras with changeable lenses
The use of interchangeable optics
— cameras that do not have a built-in lens and work with interchangeable lenses. This category, by definition, includes DSLRs and mirrorless models (see “Camera type”), and only these. At the same time, the camera can be sold without a lens at all (for more details, see "Packaging").Interchangeable lenses allow the photographer to choose the lens best suited for a given task. For example, for shooting landscapes, buildings or group photos, it is most convenient to use wide-angle lenses, and for objects located at a great distance, “long-range” optics are useful; when shooting portraits, you can get by with a fixed lens, and for reportage shooting it is better to take a model with a variable degree of magnification, etc.
