This USB-C port is convenient because it has a reversible plug, is compatible with laptop and smartphone cables, and is more reliable than the old micro-USB. In gaming and work, this enables "play-and-charge": connect the cable and get stable wired communication and simultaneous battery charging. Compared to models with non-detachable cables, USB-C is easier to maintain and allows you to use lightweight "paracords" or coiled cables to match the build's aesthetics; and compared to proprietary connectors, it doesn't tie you to "native" accessories. It's important to understand that the port itself does not increase the polling rate: 1000 Hz and above depend on the controller, but USB-C makes usage more convenient and durable; for example, at home, the keyboard operates on 2.4 GHz, and at a tournament, it is connected USB-C→USB-C to a laptop for minimal latency.
