— "Compressed TKL": the alphabet block, arrows, and a couple of navigation keys stay in place, while the NumPad and top row of F1–F12 are accessed via Fn. This layout is noticeably narrower in width, bringing the mouse closer to the center, and doesn't require as much arm spreading — convenient on a narrow desk, when working on a laptop, and during trips. Compared to the 60% format, the 65% is more practical thanks to dedicated arrows and Delete; it is more compact than 75% and 80% but often requires getting used to the layers. Non-standard sizes of the right shift and navigation are possible, which is important when choosing keycaps. In real scenarios, the 65% format is great for IDE, streaming, and FPS/MOBA games, and when numbers are regularly inputted, it is complemented by an external wireless NumPad.
