In most of these models, the electric motor plays a supporting role, reducing pedal effort; however, there are bikes that are capable of driving only on electric traction, without effort on the part of the user (for more information on this, see “Operation mode (for electric)”. In any case, the key advantage of electric models is that driving them requires significantly less effort than for classic bicycles.
