Mountain (cross-country)

— a type of mountain bike designed for cross-country racing. Certain sections of cross-country trails are somewhat simpler than similar elements in competitions such as downhill or trials, but the trails themselves are very diverse. Therefore, a bicycle of this type must combine speed, maneuverability, high grip to the ground, convenience on ups and downs. In practice, this is achieved by using lightweight materials for frames (aluminum, titanium, carbon fiber), tyres with deep tread, hard tail or full suspension with lockout functions, etc.
