— electric bicycles, in which the motor is capable of operating in two modes — pedalling assistance and full electric drive. Electric drive allows you to ride without using pedals at all — that is, a bicycle in this mode actually turns into an electric moped. It is very comfortable; on the other hand, for efficient electric drive, rather powerful motors are needed, which affects the cost and puts forward corresponding requirements for battery capacity. Also note that in some low-cost models, the electric drive mode is “purely symbolic”, it only works normally on a flat road after preliminary acceleration with pedalling.
